WUSU'S BIOGRAPHY

THE AUTHOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Prince Oluwaseyi Hodonu  WUSU-AKRAN, is a young and talented person. He was born to the family of Late Prince Pa. Paul Ayaovi WUSU-AKRAN and Princess Mrs. Abosede Ogunbiyi Wusu-AKRAN on 10th July 1978 at Ganyinkoh Royal Ruling Family, Jegba Badagry, Area of Lagos state.

Oluwaseyi went to Methodist Primary School, Badagry from 1985-1991 and Ansar-ud-deen Society grammar school Badagry from 1991 -1997. He proceeded to Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED) from 1999-2002 and later went to prestigious premier University, the first and the best University in Nigeria, University of Ibadan, Ibadan to study Library, Archival and Information Studies as well as Master in Information science from 2003-2007 and 2009-2011 respectively for his Undergraduates and Master degree programmes. Now, he is a Ph.D Research Assistant at the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of MALAYA, Malaysia (2016-2018). 

Wusu served his father’s land at University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC) where he bagged different awards such as NYSC most distinguished corps member on community development services (CDS), and Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Advocacy Programmes and many certificates.

Politically, while in the University, he was the general secretary of Nigerian Universities Education Students’ Association (NUESA), Faculty of Education, U.I, and the General Secretary, National Union of Lagos state students, (NULASS) U.I. Branch, 2005/2006 academic session respectively, Vice President Library Archival and Information Science Students Association (LARISSA, 2004/2005), General Secretary, Social Studies Students Association of Nigeria (SOSSAN, AOCOED CHAPTER) and Students' Lawyer, Representing School of Languages, Students Union Government (AOCOED SUG)  2001/2002 Academic session respectively too.

Prince Wusu worked briefly as a student librarian at administrative staff college of Nigeria during his undergraduate days and after his master degree programmes at Straitgate College, Isara-Remo as college librarian and as a teacher librarian. Presently, works at Houdegbe North American University, Cotonou, Benin as a lecturer cum University Librarian.

He is a registered member of Nigerian Library Association and a member of Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), Member, NLA, Information Technology Section, Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) GMNIM and Member, Nigeria Christian Corpers’ Fellowship, Enugu State Chapter. 

He has attended many conferences and workshops which include: Librarian and Current Technology Realities: Resources for Impact – Presented by the United State Diplomatic Mission Nigeria in collaboration with American Corner Ibadan and Nigeria Library Association, Oyo State Chapter. Laptop/Desktop Computer Repair (Engineering) organized by Arise and Shine Global Computers, Lagos. Libraries Create Futures: Building on Cultural Heritage, Nigerian Library Association (NLA), 47th National  Conference and Annual General Meeting held at Jogor Centre, off Ring Road, Opposite Liberty Stadium Road, Ibadan, Oyo State, National Workshop on: Building and Managing Digitization Collections: Organized by Nigerian Library Association Information Technology Section (LITT 2009), held at Nnamdi Azikwe Library Complex, University of Nigeria, Nsukka Enugu State. Demystifying the Internet V – Organized by Success Attitude Development Centre (SADC), Library Industrial Training – ASCON, Badagry, Lagos State. And the Use of Library and Online Searching by Students in Tertiary Institutions with How to Calculate cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in Houdegbe North American University, Cotonou, Benin: A Paper Presented by Wusu at the Pharmacy Students’ Association Week: G.M.K School of Health Sciences, Houdegbe North American University, Cotonou, Benin Dated 29th May, 2014 @ World Politics Hall, Houdegbe, Cotonou, Benin and, National Library Association (NLA), 53rd National  Conference and Annual General Meeting titled: OMOLUABI 2015 held between 27th -31st July, 2015 @ Wocdif Centre, Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. Prince Wusu is a Certified Librarian of Nigerian (CLN). He has also attended many research academic workshops such as Sequencing organizing a dissertation/thesis professionally, How to write Literature Reviews, Critical reading and critical writing, Communicating your research to a wider audience of non-specialists, Structural Equation Modelling Data Analysis Using Smart PLS and workshops on SPSS as well as NVivo statistical Analysis training just to mention but few.

He has received many Awards and Local Scholarships from the former Governors of Lagos State, Governor Fashola Babatunde Raji (SAN), and Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Spiritual, he was the Assistant House Fellowship Minister, Oritamefa Baptist Church, Agbowo zone Ibadan between 2011-2013. He is the Vice-President Men Missionary Union (MMU), First Baptist Church, Ikoga Zebbe, Badagry, Lagos state, Nigeria.


Prince Wusu is a responsible man, married to Princess. Mrs. Uchenna Blessing Wusu-Akran with kids (Semande, Sevovoh and Sebayi Wusu-Akran).
